Ferry Service

Note: The ferry ticket includes free use of the sauna Haapala during season 2020 (value 10 € per person) during sauna open hours during season 2020!

There is scheduled ferry traffic to Isosaari from the middle of May until the middle of September. The safe M/s Isosaari, Helsinki’s largest archipelago ferry, operates from the Helsinki Market square to Isosaari. The ferry has a cafe/bar with right to serve alcohol, spacious indoor sitting areas and large sundecks, a pram park and a ball pit for children. Ferry service outside the main season is operated with the smaller m/s Kajava. The last connection on Saturday (summertime)  is usually operated with the smaller ferry m/s Vire or m/s Kajava. 

We recommend you buy your tickets in advance online, so we can guarantee there will be space for you on the ferry. Please note that if you have bought your ticket in advance, you need to arrive at the dock 10 minutes before the departure time.  You can also spend the night in Isosaari, either in the hotel boat or in your own tent. The sauna is free on days of scheduled ferry traffic.

The ferry departs from the Helsinki Market Square (Kauppatori), from the dock on the west side of the ferry terminal for the Suomenlinna fortress island (map below).

Please note, that there is no scheduled ferry traffic during 14.9.-31.12.2020 and 1.1-14.5.2021! Charter cruises can be arranged for groups, also during wintertime.
